You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Extracts, transforms and formats contract price files for analysis and comparison to the Item Master; compares part numbers and manufacturers to ensure an exact match to update the price
  • Conducts analysis to verify pricing information is accurate for all available units of measure (UOMs); extrapolates pricing provided on the price list so all UoMs have the correct price
  • Updates pricing in PeopleSoft ERP system to include updating the contract start/end date, business unit eligibility and tiered pricing levels using contract versions
  • Leads Price Assurance process with primary distributor contributing to weekly calls and meetings by collaborating on root cause analysis of pricing discrepancies; negotiates agreement with distributor to release lines in pricing match exception
  • Proactively works the Price Change Notification file to ensure contract expirations, renewals and out of cycle price changes are coordinated to minimize pricing mismatches between AHS and distributor
  • Prepares, validates and coordinates “pricing release” file for purchasing agents to correct the price on purchase orders so that pricing matches on purchase order and invloice closing the match exception; coordinates pricing release for multiple ERP systems
  • Uses contract hierarchy to determine the correct price to link to items in PeopleSoft; researches pricing on various web-based tools such as GPO website, SharePoint and distributor website to troubleshoot eligibility issues
  • Seeks 4 way price match between manufacturer, distributor, GPO and AHS; 4 way match between agencies includes the same start/end date, tier eligibility, business unit eligibility and price
  • Meet and exceed AHS audit expectations and perform preventative quality assurance checks to ensure contract pricing data complies
  • Meets and exceeds Service Level Agreements for contract pricing uploads into PeopleSoft to ensure accurate data across the enterprise in a Shared Services environment
  • Escalates issues to Supply Chain Contract Uploads Team Lead as necessary
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Process Maps
  • Perform regression testing of PeopleSoft system upgrades, enhancements and bug fixes

Qualifications

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university
  • Minimum 3 years experience in data analysis

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • 3+ years’ experience with PeopleSoft FSCM
  • 3+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Sharepoint
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Shared Services environment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED

  • Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups, IF Statements, Macros)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Access Skills
  • Experience in PeopleSoft query and table structure

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Contract Pricing Specialist is responsible for ensuring pricing accuracy across the company. This individual will be responsible for extracting, transforming and formatting contract price files for analysis and comparison to the Item Master. Since only a single price is usually given by the supplier the specialist will extrapolate pricing provided on the price list so all UoMs have the correct price. The Specialist will lead the Price Assurance process with the primary distributor by contributing to weekly calls and meetings and by collaborating on root cause analysis of pricing discrepancies; the contract pricing specialist negotiates price agreements with the distributor to release lines in pricing match exception. The Specialist prepares, validates and coordinates “pricing release” file for purchasing agents to correct the price on purchase orders so that pricing matches on purchase order and invoice closing the match exception. Updates pricing in PeopleSoft ERP system to include updating the contract start/end date, business unit eligibility and tiered pricing levels using contract versions. Works well under pressure to meet and exceed Service Level Agreements for contract pricing uploads into PeopleSoft.
