Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 32 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior PeopleSoft Functional Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

This role is functional in nature and will not require hands-on coding; the role will, however, require enough technical acumen to research problems in the legacy system using PeopleTools/Code, SQL, etc. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in both the functional and technical aspects of PeopleSoft.

The role will also require heavy Functional Analyst skills. In addition, the candidate must have solid experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment as part of a data conversion team to include the mapping of data fields and performing root-cause analysis in the legacy PeopleSoft application identifying the cause of data problems in the system.

Functional Responsibilities:

The worker must have impeccable oral and written communication skills, solid experience with the integration of the core modules within the PeopleSoft HRMS 8.8 application (HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll), including experience researching processing requirements between other systems both upstream and downstream. This worker must be equally confident conversing with top level management and developers. Finally, the worker must be confident having detailed conversations with the users at the functional level, with developers at the technical level, and be able to accurately read PeopleCode, write SQL, and analyze data.

The ideal candidate would have experience on data conversion projects; has been a hands-on project team lead and have substantial experience as a functional resource in Benefits Administration, Payroll, or Pension Administration modules. The worker s experience would include past development work and would be functional in recent years. Additionally, the Worker would have past development experience with PeopleSoft code, SQL, Application Engine and SQR programs and have the ability to determine how a page or Application Engine is processing data.

Project Team experience utilizing Agile Methodologies

Experienced in gathering requirements towards changes the PeopleSoft application

Demonstrated current hands-on functional experience in one or more of the following PeopleSoft modules: HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll

The most recent six years must have been working exclusively as a PeopleSoft Functional Analyst

Solid understanding of technical aspects of the PeopleSoft application

Strong SQL skills, ability to write and execute advanced SQL in both Oracle and SQL Server

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

Working in Information Technology

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification(s) a plus.
