Senior PeopleSoft Developer

Brooksource is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Developer to join a leading retail organization based out of Jacksonville, FL. This resource will be joining an exciting team to help design, develop, and maintain HRIS systems including PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft HR. The right person for this role will be self-motivated and highly skilled in all areas of PeopleSoft development. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside senior leadership on new software development/implementations and will serve as a mentor to associate level developers.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, maintain, and enhance PeopleSoft HCM applications including but not limited to: Payroll, Accounting and Financials, and SCM Peoplesoft
  • Be involved in full SDLC including enhancements, customizations, interfaces, and queries using PeopleTools
  • Code complex/integrated customizations and/or solutions using PeopleTools and related technologies (SQRs, Application Engines, CI’s, PeopleCode, XML)
  • Work with business customers to develop clear and defined requirements and fulfill those needs with the help of the developments team.
  • Wok closely with Business Analysts to fully assess and understand functional and non-functional business requirements and work to build roadmaps to achieve project deliverables
  • Perform Level 2 & 3 support as needed including fixing bugs and defects and maintain application health
  • Create appropriate system documentation as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
  • Responsible for reviewing customer service data to discover potential defects and gauge the level of customer satisfaction with a new software system
  • Create appropriate system documentation as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
  • Create and maintain project artifacts like Technical Design, Unit Test Scripts, Unit Test Logs, and RCA for Defects

Technical Requirements:

  • Knowledge around data flow, data integrations for an enterprise.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HR 9.2-9.3 or newer versions
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 8.3 or newer versions
  • Expert knowledge of PeopleCode and PeopleTools
  • Hands-on development and implementation support of PeopleSoft HR and Financials Modules
  • Oracle EPM
  • Experience using DataStage

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in PeopleSoft Development and software development
  • Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping frameworks
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
