Job Title: Senior DBA 2 - PeopleSoft DBA SME L2 L3

Location:  Washington

Travel:    25%

Job Description:  

  •     Level 2 and Level 3 support, and coordinate work with any support from the third-party resolver groups for the PeopleSoft database environment (e.g., operating  systems, utilities, middleware)
  •     Maintain and manage all Peoplesoft components including WebLogic, Java, PeopleTools, Tuxedo, Visual Cobol, Tidal Agent, ImageNow Server , Elastic Search)
  •     Application and database refreshes/cloning and Code promotion
  •     Application/database performance tuning 
  •     Manual and automated checks across key areas that can affect platform speed and stability
  •     Investigate, diagnose, and restore the affected service as notified alerts or tickets 
  •     Perform problem management activities including RCA, trend analysis, and reporting
  •     Plan, coordinate, implement, and track changes to configure items as per Change management guidelines
  •     Ad-hoc service requests for information and access
  •     Patching, upgrades and fixing pack installations as per defined and ad-hoc schedules
  •     Manage, coordinate, and liaise with Product vendors for issues that require their help
  •     Ongoing automation of activities leveraging scripts, Cron jobs, and other Automation tools
  •     Ongoing performance management and improvement based on Best practices
  •     Manage installation, applying fixes and upgrades
