PeopleSoft Security Administrator
Under the direct supervision of the Director, ITS-Enterprise Applications, this position works closely with the campus technical and functional leads to design, and has responsibility for security administration for campus Enterprise Systems. This includes the creation of user accounts, roles and permission lists to grant users access to the appropriate application environments. This also includes development of automated security processes for integration with third-party systems. This position is also responsible for providing second tier support (security and non-security) for campus Enterprise Systems.
Under the direction of the Director – Enterprise Applications, this position works closely with the technical leads and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to maintain user security access to the Enterprise Systems (ex. PeopleSoft 9.x and other tools etc.) based on approved job responsibilities, position changes, job reassignments and/or terminations.
Works with campus SME to identify, test and apply changes to roles and permission lists as affected by new baseline releases, updates and fixes.
Investigate security related issues reported by users.
Monitors and conducts the regular review of appropriate assignment and usage of roles and permission lists.
Supports campus Segregation of Duties and Security Review procedure.
Furnish necessary security documentation and reports as needed.
Process access request form by granting users with access granted by a designated approver.
General PeopleSoft support such as triage PeopleSoft related end-user support requests and provide initial troubleshooting and identifying root causes.
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 1 year of related experience.
Familiar with basic Information Technology Security principles.
Knowledge and experience with SQL, PL/SQL and Transact SQL.
Trained in enterprise database management tools such as SQL Developer, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Plus, etc.
Ability to adapt with strong motivation to learn and keep current with upcoming technology.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience with creating technical specifications and documentation.
Ability to work well independently and within a team.
Demonstrated professional communications skills (written and oral).
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels and to respond appropriately in sensitive interpersonal situations.
Two years of experience in administer/design application and user security for large scale Enterprise Integration Project specifically using PeopleSoft 9.x with related security administrator experience is required.
Experience working with Oracle/Microsoft Enterprise Database, performance optimization, and related activities.
Experience with data structure of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM), Campus Solutions (CS), Payroll, Finance.
Familiar with PeopleCode and familiar with PeopleSoft Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
