Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for developing technical specification documents for customizations, Interfaces and Reports
Work with the PeopleSoft Functional Analyst to understand the business need and provide solution design support
Design solutions based on the specifications provided by the Functional Analyst
Notify the Functional Analyst how the business requirements/specifications will affect other areas of the program.
Perform the detailed design and documentation of custom components.
Trouble-shooting abilities for PeopleSoft applications Develop common test data.
Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.
Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
Follow standard security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
Participate in code reviews.
Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.
Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers.
Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.
Document the application to facilitate maintenance.
Assist in defining and reviewing the technical requirements for the application, including security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
Design individual technology components of the application development, execution, or operations architecture.Work with other designers and the technical architect to make sure that the architecture components interact to fulfill the requirements and meet performance goals.
Ensure internal/external interface data integrity.
Qualifications / Required Skill: Must have the following qualifications/experience in at least one of the following PeopleSoft Suites - Financials, Supply Chain, Hyperion, Payroll
Must have demonstrated in-depth knowledge in a PeopleSoft module (PeopleCode, Application Designer and Application Engine) version 9.2 or higher.
A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years of PeopleSoft development experience in version 9.0 and higher is required
Successfully completed and/or involved in at least one full life-cycle ERP implementation and/or upgrade (preferably using PeopleSoft v9 or higher).
Interface experience including Integration Broker, Data Encryption, Linux and FTP scripting.
Strong PeopleTools expertise in v8.55
Must possess excellent and proven PeopleSoft Application trouble-shooting abilities.
Experience in Web Services, SOA technology.
Experience in STAT, Toad/SQL Plus, MS Word and Excel
Hands on experience with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, SQL.
Knowledge of relevant business area (HCM, Financials, Supply Chain, Payroll).
Ability to work successfully in a team environment and possess the flexibility/adaptability to changing requirements.
Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage and report on many concurrent activities.
Ability to work independently, make decisions
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship
