Description
The primary role of PeopleSoft Configuration analyst is to modify PeopleSoft settings/ configurations by analyzing and using the best options to meet end user’s or customer’s needs while maintaining the system integrity. This is a non-developer role, but requires technical aptitude.
- Must have subject matter expertise preferably in PeopleSoft HCM, or other ERP tools (Oracle, SAP etc.)
- Knowledge in PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) preferred
- Some/solid experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 version is highly preferred
Summary of Responsibilities
• play a techno-functional role, understanding business processes and the underlying technology
• provide day-time Tier II support for medium complexity production issues (e.g. business process error)
• research new functionality/updates to existing functionality or functionality not utilized within applications and make recommendations for utilization
• research business needs and provide recommendations for new functionality/improvements
• train IT and business associates on new functionality
• create documentation on new functionality for IT and business associates
• assist developers in determining how various systems interact together
• create medium complexity queries (inner and outer joins for three or more tables) to provide on-demand business reports
• assist in defining where data maps to within CFXML for two or more applications
• understand Acord messaging for the assigned domain
• complete medium complexity/medium risk application configurations (e.g. understanding rules and regulations)
• update data tables utilized by the application/system (e.g. alerts, accounting tables, underwriting codes, etc.)
• collaborate with technical team to assists in analysis and design utilizing application configuration knowledge
• create/maintain procedures, processes and standards for service area and across IT
• implement best practices/corporate standards
• complete security access requests
• understand, support, and report on internal and external audit compliance requirements
• analyze, coordinate, and assist in administering data transfer with vendors
• configure/administer other systems supported by the service area
Summary of Qualifications
• must have subject matter expertise in PeopleSoft HR, Payroll, and Benefits
• knowledge in PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) preferred
• the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• knowledge of the software development life cycle
• excellent communication and teamwork skills with the proven ability to multi-task
• the ability to provide application support, including responding to support after business hours
• effectively troubleshoot, debug and solve issues of medium complexity and moderate risk
• strong analytical and organizational skills
• being a self-starter and able to perform job with moderate supervision
• the ability to work in a team environment and to complete work independently
