The Payroll Analyst is responsible for working in the PeopleSoft, Kronos and ADP applications to review, configure and test payroll activities supporting the payroll processing, time and attendance and regulatory filings. This role supports the Payroll team and payroll operations area and is highly focused on delivering operational excellence, ensuring accurate gross payroll results as well as contributing to functional testing and design.
•Provides hands-on support to Payroll with new rules and system functionality.
•Complete projects that require data mining, analysis, costing and presentation.
•Design and update regression testing, expected results, as well as perform testing of rules and functionality in PeopleSoft and Kronos.
•Perform month-end, quarter-end and year end processing.
•Build a thorough understanding of all available data sources and understands variances between these sources.
•Maintains HR/Payroll table set up in PeopleSoft and ADP applications.
•Develops and runs standard and complex queries to support business user’s decision-making and organizes them in a format for ease of review and use. Researches irregularities on audit reports, recommends necessary corrections and monitors that the corrections are made.
•Maintains data requirements and runs data integrity audits of Payroll data.
•Serves as first point of contact for functionality-based problems/issues as it relates to PeopleSoft payroll and Kronos modules. Performs research and analysis to determine the root cause of problems and issue to determine the best overall solution.
•Works with requestors to identify trends as it applies to required changes/modifications within the system. Partners with Payroll users to identify opportunities to create more effective and efficient processes.
•Meets with users to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement programs to meet special and on-going needs of Payroll information.
•Documents functional requirements identifies opportunities for business process improvement and more effective utilization of information systems.
•Strong working knowledge of Windows and Software (Access, Excel, PowerPoint).

• 5-7 years of experience with Payroll applications. Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft required to possess functional knowledge including table configuration, North America Payroll processing, Year End processing W-2, workflow, time & labor rules
• Proficiency with HR system applications including PeopleSoft HCM and Kronos Time/Attendance
• Understanding the relationship between the business, the data and the technologies to support HR and Payroll functions
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment
• Strong organizational skills—ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to apply technical knowledge and expertise to Payroll policies and processes
High school Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
Knowledge of Payroll principles and practices
