The Information Services (IS) department is responsible for providing and supporting the technology needs of the Metropolitan Council enterprise. Information Services manages and supports the technology infrastructure for 50+ locations throughout the Twin Cities region. IS manages data and voice network technology and services, multiple data centers, and hundreds of servers. IS also manages and supports existing software, applications and databases, and collaborates with the organization in the development and implementation of new software, applications and databases. IS supports Metropolitan Council websites, manages technology projects, provides state-of-the-moment security information and services, and facilitates the development of continuity of operations strategies and planning for the enterprise.
Developers at the Metropolitan Council are responsible for the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, program documentation and support of new or existing applications software and information systems. This Applications Developer will support PeopleSoft Financials/HRMS.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or closely related field AND four years of experience in PeopleSoft 9.2 (Finance and/or HRMS) and PeopleTools 8.56, such as Application Designer, Application Packages, Application Engine, People Code, Process Scheduler, PS Query, File Layout, XL to CI, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SOAP and REST based web services, Fluid Pages, SQL, Data Mover and SQR.
