Senior PeopleSoft Business Analyst: Finance Record To Report (RTR)
JOB SUMMARY
Functionally supporting the corporate finance system (PeopleSoft Finance 9.2) for Global Capital Projects. Supporting the Configuration and Functional Design for General Ledger, Asset Management, and Payroll Integration. Also supporting PeopleSoft financial reports, nVision reports, Chartfields, and Combo Rules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with Accounting and Finance to analyze and understand end user requirements for the finance system. Then, using existing knowledge and continuous learning to solution and implement system changes while ensuring configurations properly function to meet business needs across the organization.
Leverage previous experience of Peoplesoft. accounting and finance knowledge to bridge the gap between Accounting/Finance and IT, by demonstrating working knowledge of a debits/credits outcome of a system process or configuration and understanding how a transaction in the system impacts the results on the Income Statement or Trial Balance.
Analyze and support future system upgrades to identify risk areas and opportunities, assisting improvement efforts, implementations, and upgrades as needed.
Collaborate across departments to ensure the system runs smoothly, obtain input and feedback on system needs from appropriate parties; interact with support teams and leadership to resolve issues.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No immediate supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. Growth into future supervisory responsibilities is possible.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business-related field. Accounting and/or Finance background is required. Experience with PeopleSoft Finance highly preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information to supervisors and finance management.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires proficiency in understanding financial statements, financial terms, concepts and accounting principles.
REASONING ABILITY
Able to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial information and the ability to accurately explain/report activity in verbal and written communications. Requires advanced analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong work ethic and adaptable. Query building and/or SQL knowledge is highly desired.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting and meeting project deadlines, including action items of indirect reports. Optimizes time, tools, and resources to achieve desired results. Responds to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work. Due to team's unique role in the organization, analyst must be able to adapt to demanding users and manage relationships with all levels of Accounting/Finance leadership. Errors in judgment are highly visible and may cause short-term impact to the company globally.
