The mission of the Water Authority is to provide a safe and reliable water supply to its 24 member agencies serving the region's 253 billion economy and 3.3 million residents. Business Systems Applications SupportThe Senior Information Systems Analyst will support the Water Authority's business systems, including financial systems, human resource systems, computerized maintenance management systems, billing systems, and other computer applications that support the business needs of the Water Authority. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, optimizing, upgrading, developing, and administering the Water Authorityrsquos Oracle PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 applications. In addition, the Senior Information Systems Analyst develops, customizes, and troubleshoots PeopleSoft systems utilizing PeopleTools Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine, PeopleSoft Event Mapping, Integration Broker, and other tailoring tools including standard industry programming languages. The PositionThe Senior Information Systems Analyst performs a wide variety of professional and complex information systems activities identifies end-user system requirements, supports PeopleSoft HCM systems and evaluates software packages designs, codes, installs, tests, documents, maintains, deploys, and supports software applications for large, complex or specialty systems trains and assists end users in implementing new applications and performs related duties as assigned. The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a Peoplesoft HCMPayroll support Analyst with developer and upgrade skillsets, as well as proven technical, analytical, and leadership skills. This person will be flexible and will have the ability to master new methodologies, tools, and products. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following Experience leading work direction or serving as the technical lead on application development projects. Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. A focus on excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong business process design skills, as well as experience with systems implementation and production support, is desired. These skills and experiences should include development and testing methodologies, and the ability to coordinate and collaborate with system stakeholders, and document clear, accurate, and thorough business processes. Advanced knowledge of, and recent experience in, Oracle Peoplesoft 9.2 HCMPayroll technical and functional support including core HCM, Payroll for North America, Time and Labor, Benefits Administration, Self Service, and Manager Self Service. Peoplesoft systems administration and technical support of other enterprise application skillsets and experience with Oracle database administration is a plus. Knowledge of, and experience with PeopleSoft HCMFSCM integration points, including maintenance, setup, and configuration of Integration Broker. Development experience with, PeopleSoft Fluid using Application Designer, Javascript, HTML 5, Cascading Style Sheets css3. Programming in languages such as PeopleCode, SQR, Java, Linux Shell Script, Windows Batch Script, and PLSQL. Report writing using PSQuery, Application Engine and BI Publisher. Understanding of PeopleSoft security model involving use of Permission Lists, Roles, Query Trees, and row level security. Knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture ndash both functional and technical, Linux, Unix Utilities, Oracle Database 12c or 19c, Korn shell scripting, PeopleTools 8.58 or above, PUM management, and deployment strategies, Tuxedo, WebLogic, Solaris operating system. Qualification Guidelines The qualification guidelines generally describe the knowledge and ability required to enter the job in order to successfully perform the assigned duties. Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, geography, mathematics or a closely related field supplemented by five years of increasingly responsible experience in information systems, including two years providing lead work direction or serving as the technical lead on application development projects.
