Responsibilities The PeopleSoft Financial Analyst is part of the team responsible for master data management throughout the Company's financial systems and the creation of corporate reporting to support multiple areas within the company. Individual in this role will primarily be responsible for maintaining configuration and providing functionaltechnical support for PeopleSoft Financials modules. Modules in use are Customer Contracts, Project Costing, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management and General Ledger. The PeopleSoft Financials System Analyst is the principal functional support person on the finance team and is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems assisting process automation, and improving existing financial business system operations. This position will report directly to the FPA Director. In addition, this position will be involved in assisting the team with other financial systems, responding to ad-hoc requests and is the principal functional support person on the finance team. Duties Responsibilities Maintain PeopleSoft Finance configuration Partner with Finance end-users to understand production issues, analyze business problems and work closely with IT to develop resolutions System job monitoringdata migration to the data warehouse Assist in PeopleSoft related month end Financial close activities Create functional specifications and collaborate with the IT development team on enhancements, including those related to external data feeds Createmodify PeopleSoft queries and nVision, including report scheduling and maintaining job scheduler Provide support to functional staff in the proper use of the system and related products Work with finance staff to design new or improve existing procedures in support of operations using delivered functionality, where possible Maintain communications and positive relations between users and Information Technology Demonstrate keen understanding of accounting procedures including the financial close process and creation of company financial statements Review and maintain documentation of business processes for PeopleSoft Financials Analyze current operational procedures, identify problems and learn about specific requirements Assist financials staff with creation of instructional manuals and documentation Assist in the research, design and implementation of additional business applications within PeopleSoft or from third parties Assist in the development of user test scripts Provide support with PeopleSoft tools upgrades, patches, and PUMs Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field Minimum 4 years of PeopleSoft experience including hands-on experience with supporting and troubleshooting PeopleSoft Financials applications Functionalsystem knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials version 9.2, including GL, Billing, Travel and Expense, AR, AP, PO, Customer Contracts, and Project Costing. Experience with multi-ledger, multi-currency, sales and use tax, and Value Added Tax (VAT). KnowledgeSkills Preferred Minimum 4 years' functional andor technical support experience with PeopleSoft Financials, including configuration experience Strong SQL writing knowledge Strong Microsoft Office skills Experience working with MS SQL Database Understanding of ETL flow between an ERP and data warehouse Ability to oversee user testing of patching, PUM, and tools upgrades process Experience with People Tools 8.59 and Financials 9.2 or newer releases Previous experience with PeopleSoft patching, testing and PUM maintenance Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, meet ongoing deadlines, and perform all essential functions of the position Ability to work effectively in a team environment while remote Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Ability to adapt in a fast-moving and changing culture Desire to learn, grow, and seek increased responsibility Additional Requirements The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
