Description
The American College of Financial Services is looking for a full-time PeopleSoft Functional Analyst - Student Records system expert. Reporting to the Vice President, Information Technology, it serves as an expert functional resource to assigned Departments/Teams on the use of PeopleSoft capabilities in improving/streamlining/ enhancing operations capabilities and efficiencies of the College. It also serves as a first point of contact for PeopleSoft issues, problems, and questions, and provides project management support for specific business process change projects. The position has accountability for project-related activities in these same areas. The PeopleSoft Functional Analyst effectively works as an individual contributor with no direct, ongoing supervisory responsibility. However, the position regularly provides work direction to staff in assigned Divisions and Departments in carrying out approved business process change projects.
Job Duties:

Working with the Vice President, Information Technology and assigned Team and Department Heads, analyzes operations needs and opportunities in those assigned functional areas, existing process performance indicators, and staff/student service requirements to assist the Vice President, Information Technology and the Team and Department Heads in preparing strategic business operations plans for the College.

Assist the Vice President in preparing annual and longer-term business process improvement plans.

Serve as a functional expert and resource to assigned Team and Department Heads.

Improve and streamline the PeopleSoft Campus Solution System by designing, testing, and implementing customizations that meet business needs.

Continuously monitor and review the performance of current business processes in assigned functional areas in light of College staff and student needs.

In conjunction with the Vice President, Information Technology, and Department/Team Heads in assigned areas, prepare business process change project plans and schedules for the fiscal year.

Manage projects through to implementation, providing testing and quality assurance support throughout as well as appropriate process documentation and staff training support.

Conduct periodic user surveys to determine service effectiveness.

Continuously researches/studies ERP product development, with a special focus on PeopleSoft product capabilities and development directions.

Continuously examines project planning/management techniques and support software to provide the College with the best tools to achieve its operating goals and objectives.

Provides “comparative analysis” information to the Vice President on ERP product development and project management tools, along with recommendations for enhancements to the College’s information and process management technologies.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree In Computer Science and 5 years of progressive experience using PeopleSoft ERP software with thorough functional knowledge of the appropriate module(s) or bachelor’s degree in Physics or Mathematics with 7 years of progressive experience using PeopleSoft ERP software with thorough functional knowledge of the appropriate module(s)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with College leaders, especially assigned Team and Department Heads and their staffs, technical resources, and other related service vendors.

Strong organizational and business process planning skills.

Advanced project planning and management skills are required, including analytical and problem-solving skills.
