ROLE : Peoplesoft Functional Analyst DURATION : Contract LOCATION : Remote (Locals to Texas)
Job Description :
- Peoplesoft Functional Analyst works with business users in gathering requirements, prepares Functional design documents and validates with business users.
- This position works with technical support staff to develop code fixes, perform modifications and/or updates to existing systems per design documents, or implement new interfaces or processes.
- The individual will be able to Identify, investigate, and resolve production problems and participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements.
- Works with business and development team in software development tasks including features, new functionality, and upgrades.
- Works with QA team in performing quality analysis of modified code/fix by generating test data, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, debugging detected errors, etc. Performs customer service, coordination, and communications in the complex organization.
- Follows current software development methods/techniques and establishes development standards (which include programming standards, documentation standards, and testing standards) to ensure the quality and maintainability of applications, Oversees code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements. Develops and maintains documentation for CAPPS Financials Security roles and tasks for internal IT staff and stakeholders.
- Performs other related tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned in response to a business need.
Skills :
(at least 7) PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2
PeopleCode and Application Packages
Application Engine, COBOL, and SQR
(at least 7) Production support expertise as a Functional expert with technical knowledge
Advanced SQL and PL/SQLAdvanced SQL and PL/SQL
(at least 5) Implementation/upgrade experience
Skill in PeopleCode, SQL analysis tools & explain plans, PeopleTools, and PeopleSoft debugging
Knowledge in migration of objects/projects to production.
Knowledge and understanding of writing and testing code.
(at least 7 years) Knowledge of information technology standards, practices, and project lifecycle.
(at least 5 years) Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues in a complex system environment.
(at least 5 years) Ability to develop technical reporting, develop work plans, track progress, and provide oral and written status reports
(at least 2 years) PS Queries
(at least 7) Ability to write Functional Design Documents and validate with business customer
(at least 2 years) Analyzing functional design requirements
(at least 2 years) Experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)
(at least 2 years) Experience working with SharePoint Lists
Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) CAPPS Financials State of Texas Baseline on PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2
Development in PeopleSoft GL, AP, or PO modules
Working with the Scrum or Scrumban process
Working with the STAT migration tool
Working with the Tivoli scheduling tool
Working with Jira as a user
