**Position:** Peoplesoft Administrator
**Location:** Remote PST
Kelly Government Solutions is in search of a PeopleSoft Administrator to provide support for the PeopleSoft Business Information System running in an Oracle RDBMS Unix/Linux, Windows, and Citrix MetaFrame environment, with specific emphasis on the PeopleSoft server infrastructure. The PeopleSoft Administrator, who will report directly to the Manager of Enterprise Applications, will be responsible for the application and security administration, maintenance, patching and troubleshooting of the PeopleSoft Enterprise applications.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Support and coordinate the implementation of major technical projects such as system upgrades of PeopleTools and PeopleSoft applications (images/selective adoption).
+ Install, configure, and maintain all PeopleSoft production, test and development environments and maintain PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, Application Server (Tuxedo), Web Server (Web logic), and Process Schedulers.
+ Apply Oracle PeopleSoft bug fixes and patches including Critical Patch Updates, PUM images. Perform periodic test system refreshes and project migration to production and test systems.
+ Identify, research, and resolve environment-related issues for the Web, Application, Batch, File and Database Servers.
+ Performance tuning and proactive monitoring of Web Servers, Application Servers, Process Schedulers.
+ Develop and maintain scripts to monitor systems.
+ Ensure the security of the production system and supporting environments.
+ Document and communicate project activities to the manager on a regular basis.
+ Develop and maintain integrations with external or internal systems.
+ Configure and maintain PeopleSoft Search.
+ Design, develop, install, and maintain operating systems, utilities, and applications software on computing systems.
+ Resolve system emergencies impacting the integrity of user data and systems.
+ Design, configure, implement, and maintain system security strategies, policies, and procedures.
+ Establish software/hardware standards and systems policies and procedures.
+ Engage in long-term strategic planning regarding systems development and integration.
+ Conceptualize and implement systems within broad technical or structural frameworks.
+ Perform capacity planning for system configuration, software services, network services, load distribution, and service interrelationships among systems.
+ Act as a technical lead for local computer system administration.
+ Act as project leader on large-scale computing projects in which technical, directional, and personal leadership is vital; assign and supervise the work of other system administrators as needed.
+ Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate hardware and software maintenance agreements with vendors.
**Required experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience as a system analyst, developer, technology lead, PeopleSoft administrator, or closely related occupation, or a master's degree and six years of relevant experience.
+ Minimum five years of experience in: PeopleSoft application architecture installation and configuration/integration; migration of PeopleSoft projects; performing PeopleTools and application upgrades; PeopleSoft components, Weblogic, and Tuxedo; Oracle databases; and Unix and Windows operating systems.
+ Experience with complex multi-system platforms and vendors.
+ Experience coordinating multi-system and computing environments in independent computing facilities.
+ Experience developing/implementing a business continuation and disaster recovery plan.
+ Demonstrated ability to develop appropriate plans to meet computing needs.
+ Expert ability to program in multiple programming languages in multiple operating systems.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and work on large/complex system deployment projects in a team environment.
+ Extensive knowledge of security trends and standard methodologies.
