IT - Sr. Developer (PeopleSoft)

Asplundh is currently in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 using PeopleTools 8.59 using Oracle 19.3g utilizing HR, Base Benefits, Ben Admin, and Payroll. The person will be responsible for the implementation and technical support of the PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and providing guidance for new requests, current business processes, the development of new functionality within the PeopleSoft system. This person will be responsible for translating Functional requirements into Technical design and future state process documentation. The PS developer will be assisting in business case development for new projects such as upgrades, interfaces, reporting, and acquisitions, developing expertise in the relevant business area and ensures that the system applications support the current and planned future needs of the business.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Development and support on the following:

  • Custom Processes/Reports

  • Interfaces both inbound and outbound from Peoplesoft

  • Acquisitions

  • Security Administration

  • Workflow

  • Data Conversions

  • Data Uploads

  • Fluid

  • Development and support using the following tools:

  • SQR

  • Application Engine

  • Application Designer/PeopleTools

  • Process Scheduler

  • Oracle

  • PS Query

  • Component Interface

  • Data Mover

  • Application Messaging

  • Integration Broker

  • PeopleCode

  • JAMs scheduling application

  • Provide documentation on development work such as Technical Design, Change Control Requirements, etc.

  • Provide 24x7 problem management support only when needed

  • Formulate and document standards relating to PeopleSoft management

  • Prescribe user access requirements based on analysis of system function and end user service needs

  • Review database design and integration of systems and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements

  • Provide PeopleSoft Administrator tasks (preferred but not required):

  • Tax Updates/ Maintenance Packs/Bundles

  • PeopleSoft/PeopleTools Upgrade/Installation

  • Development Migration of customized objects from different environments

  • Change Control

  • Scheduling of Environment Refresh

  • Maintenance of different servers.

  • User training/walkthrough, as needed.

General Responsibilities include:

  • Strong Programming and Analytical Skills in Application Engine and SQR.

  • Strong Oracle DBA knowledge

  • Skills in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures.

  • Good Application Knowledge on PeopleSoft HCM modules (HR/Benefits/Payroll/ESS/Manager Self Service)

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Be readily accessible in order to respond to all reactive calls / emails

  • Attend scheduled departmental and business unit calls / meetings, as required

  • Provide appropriate and timely feedback to all stakeholders

  • Independent / Effective Output

  • Deliver high quantity/quality of work at all times

  • Request assistance when appropriate

  • Present thoughtful solutions for consideration

  • Trouble Management

  • Troubleshoot basic to complex problems taking full ownership of problem until resolved - manage trouble and report status to end users according to guidelines

  • Integrate into project team according to assignment

  • Participate/lead internal meeting sessions providing project status updates and track open tasks for confirmed completion

  • Provide back-up for IT team members as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

  • 3+ years experience on PeopleSoft Admin/Development Work on Implementations and Production Support for PeopleSoft 9.x HCM application

  • Direct hands-on experience with all the phases of the system development life cycle.

  • Functional knowledge a plus.

Pre-Screen
