Please make sure on manage hire you are checking for the start date entered on prepare for hire page .

Another solution is : You can select Source and Recrutiting solutions instead of start date and see if your applicant turns up

3rd option - check the integration broker if it's not broken .

Its really a lot of detailed information available on the site. I have bookmarked it. One more site I found is - http://www.itwisesolutions.com/PsftQuiz.html which is also having good details and tips.
