Position: PeopleSoft Functional Specialist

Location: Washington DC  

Length: 12 months

 

Our client has been using PeopleSoft Financials as its production financials application with the following modules: General Ledger, Commitment Control, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, and Asset Management. Since October 2013, the client has used version 9.2, tools 8.5. The client uses Oracle Access Management and Oracle Virtual Directory single sign-on functionality for PeopleSoft with Active Directory. PeopleSoft is also integrated with several Oracle WebCenter applications including Imaging, and Content, Document Capture (ODC), Forms Recognition (OFR), and the Oracle SOA Suite, and the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Public Sector Budget and Planning application.

The client is seeking a Functional Specialist to support the House's implementation of a Contract Management solution using PeopleSoft’s Supplier Contract Management and Strategic Sourcing integrated with the existing eProcurement and Purchasing modules. Responsibilities will include requirements, fit gap, design, build, test, train, and support related activities. The resource will work to gain an understanding of the current use of PeopleSoft Financials, with a focus on how the current 9.2 upgrade will impact the new Contract Management functionality and the requirements of the users. The Functional Specialist will assist the PeopleSoft support staff and will work directly with the users of the application, especially Acquisitions Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the House's ERP PeopleSoft Financials production application, currently versio 9.2, as well as its continued development, testing, analysis, issue resolution, and integration with a primary focus on the Purchasing module, but also with other PeopleSoft modules and related applications

Assist with evaluating additional functionality and using current functionality in other ways to increase the benefits of the application for the House, especially the Acquisitions Management staff

Assist staff with year-end activities, monitoring, processing, troubleshooting, reporting, and reconciling Purchasing activity, especially as it interacts with General Ledger, Commitment Control, and other modules

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

6.1 Comprehensive knowledge and experience working with PeopleSoft’s Supplier Contract Management and Strategic Sourcing, as well as eProcurement and Purchasing modules with relevant experience in version 9.2

6.2 Knowledge and experience working with the interaction of Purchasing activity with other modules

6.3 Knowledge and experience working with one or more of the other modules the House is currently using: General Ledger, Commitment Control, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, and Asset Management

Note: Knowledge and experience with the following is a plus, but not required:

6.4 Working with entry events and the flow of accounting transactions between Purchasing, Commitment Control, and General Ledger; and/or

6.5 Integrating PeopleSoft with Content Management solutions.
