PeopleSoft Developer Responsibilities

  • Perform the detailed design of application and technical architecture components.
  • Develop common test data.
  • Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.
  • Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
  • Follow established security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.
  • Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers.
  • Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.
  • Document the application to facilitate maintenance.
  • Assist in defining and reviewing the technical requirements for the application, including security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
  • Design individual technology components of the application development, execution, or operations architecture.
  • Work with other designers and the technical architect to make sure that the architecture components interact to fulfill the requirements and meet performance goals.
  • Excellent analysis, design experience.
  • Ensure internal/external interface data integrity.
  • Developed complex modules or bolt-ons to the applications; develop and modify a variety of PeopleSoft HCM modules using SQR, Applications Engine, PeopleCode, component interface, and PeopleTools.

PeopleSoft Analyst, Payroll Responsibilities

  • Work with ERP Implementation Partner to gather business requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, and develop functional specifications for data conversions and customizations.
  • Provide functional support and configuration expertise to the Payroll team, including: basic setup, tax setup, garnishment setup, with ability to troubleshoot issues related to payroll processing, G/L interfaces and tax reporting.
  • Advise the project team on best practices related to configuration and setup of the payroll system.
  • Assist with the gathering of business requirements performing fit/gap analysis, and developing functional specifications for data conversions and customizations.
  • Participate in conference room pilots and balancing of parallel payroll tests.
  • Involved in all testing phases and issue resolution for the project – including integration with Human Resource and General Ledger modules.
  • Knowledge of full cycle payroll processing in PeopleSoft version 9.0 or higher
  • Partner with Payroll personnel to support business operations and satisfy user inquiries, resolve issues and support applications.
  • Modify or develop new queries and reports in PeopleSoft as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation, testing and integration with Time and Attendance.
  • Collaborate with peers and customers to deliver solutions.

PeopleSoft Analyst, Time & Labor Responsibilities

  • The role is to assist in guiding the end-users from the design phase through the configuration and testing of the new PeopleSoft Payroll and Time and Labor system.
  • Work with ERP Implementation Partner to gather business requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, and develop functional specifications for data conversions and customizations.
  • Provide functional support and configuration expertise to the Time and Labor team, including: time reporter data, time reporting work groups, task templates, codes, schedule groups, with ability to troubleshoot issues related to processing and interfacing into Payroll and Human Resources.
  • Advise the project team on best practices related to configuration and setup of the time and labor module.
  • Has worked with or implemented Time Capture Devices.
  • Involved in all implementation, testing, integration and issue resolution around Time and Labor – including integration with Human Resource, Payroll, Absence Management, and time collection devices.
  • Knowledge of full cycle payroll and time and labor processing in PeopleSoft version 9.0 or higher
  • Partner with Payroll personnel to support business operations and satisfy user inquiries, resolve issues and support applications.
  • Modify or develop new queries and reports in PeopleSoft as needed.
  • Collaborate with peers and customers to deliver solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and
  • Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications.
  • Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years).
  • Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Department Preferences

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with PeopleSoft FSCM, or experience as an ERP PeopleSoft Payroll or Time & Labor functional analyst and/or super user.
