Pros
Deloitte is actually a pretty solid consulting firm. They have had a
long and time tested relationship with PeopleSoft. Over the years by
virtue of it's Platinum status, Deloitte has actually hired and
developed very solid PeopleSoft consultants and have quite a few
successful implementations under their belt. In addition, the firm
is a great place for younger consultants who are learning the
business, women and minorities. They are truly committed to
diversity. They train their consultants appropriately for
engagements. They are truly committed to helping with work life
balance.
Cons
Heavy travel usually required. The higher you get, the more BS
politics required to advance. The old boys network is less than at
other firms but still present.
Summary
Perfect firm to get started in PeopleSoft with. Good firm to work in
if you have a family but are interested in juggling family life with
the consulting lifestyle. Recommended for younger employees who need
to cut their teeth on engagements. |
